A difficult life is nothing more than the opposite of an easy life. Who can say that one is preferrable to the other? A hard life can lead a man to work harder and cause him to gain more. An easy life can make one soft. Which one is better than the other? Surely, there are greater hidden issues than these simple observations. To paraphrase the movie, there is more than meets the eye. Take the scriptures or the sutras. They seem to teach something relating to divinity, and conflict is what follows from espousing one or the other. I have often been discombobolated by this situation and I cannot believe that one is higher than the other. For sure, there are other variables at work than a simple belief in one or the other. One god is fine with me and there are many belief systems that allow for a multiplicity of gods. I suppose we can argue for one opinion or another and come up with a ton of arguments to prop up one side and not the other. We could also do a bit mulling and wait until one side seems to be be more weighty and join that side. This is often done and is legitimate. Still, we cannot do like an ostrich on the initiative that a number of people need to save the world. The ones that belong to the oppressed or the have-nots have good|some motivation for wanting to change the world. These would have to be the subversives. Well, there is nothing wrong with desiring some change here and there but it could become negative and un-progressive when it goes on for a long time. People need a some stability in order to be productive and too much revolution is not a good thing|at all desirable. Something which stirs up the mind would be good. I praise that kind of changing. It might signify a beneficialreal change in the world if it gains adherence. Is it therefore safe to propose that changing the planet can be obtained by changing the mind? I would like to consider that point and see if it is valid. A mind that is too stiff and unchanging is ultimately lackluster and static. I go for dynamism and would advocate that over staticity.
